A small yet big breakthrough

I had a breakthrough today.

I was waiting to place my order at a service counter in a McDonald’s restaurant. The attendant, a middle-aged lady, was so engrossed in chatting with the attendant next to her that after 16 seconds, she still didn’t notice my presence.

The surface breakthrough: For the first time in my life, I told an attendant what to do: 唔該唔該、賣嘢先。

The real breakthrough: I officially became a grumpy 阿伯。
