So much for USA’s protection of human rights

I had never bothered much about Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State. To me, she was just another Western politician, and for me, most politicians are just opportunists, ready to change their stance the first minute they see that the wind is blowing the other way. But I could never have imagined such blatant hypocrisy from the top administration of the country that has claimed to have the highest levels of democracy, freedom, and human rights in the world, until the last 7 days:

October 19:
“We don’t know where he is but we hope he can be captured or killed soon, so you don’t have to fear him any longer,” (Hillary) Clinton said during a meeting with students at the University of Tripoli. (SCMP)

October 20
Gaddafi dies.

October 22
International and UN concerns about circumstances of Gaddafi’s death.

October 24
“Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday backed a possible U.N. investigation into the death of deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi …” (New York Times)

SPECTACULAR, ISN’T IT?
